All Exterior Modifications Require Approval! Painting, Maintenance, and Improvements

General Information and Video Resources

Please note that changes to the exterior of your property require architectural approval. Please do not replace your roof, paint your home, add a fence, or do any other alterations without completing the proper form and submitting it to Homeowner Management Services. Items that are installed without proper approval can be subject to removal and/or fines.

The Association makes the decision as to which changes are approved; however, all communication flows through HMS.

How to submit an application:

Complete the Application for Modification form and gather all supporting documentation.

  • Examples of supporting documentation include photos, measurements, details on material, paint chips, and paint color (manufacturer and number). Your unit approved paint colors are available by contacting HMS.

  • In general, the more details that you include with your application, the faster your request will be able to be reviewed.

  • Submit the information to HMS online, or by email, mail, or fax. For full details, see the bottom of the Application for Modification form.

Common Modification & Maintenance Issues

It is the responsibility of every owner and tenant to follow the rules, regulations, and guidelines when it comes to architectural control within the community. Although this page represents a list of some of the more-common potential requests, and some of the standards that apply to them, keep in mind that some items require written approval from the Board of Directors.

Patio Furniture

  • On the back patio or enclosed in a fence only

  • Must be maintained by the homeowner

Satellite Dishes

  • Admissible in the correct position: must be mounted high on the back of the house and not on the ground.

  • One meter or less

Fences

Homeowner Management Services facilitates decisions made by the Board of Directors. HMS does not make any decisions about modification requests and does not set standards for approval.
