Compliance Letters

Receiving a Compliance Letter

If you receive a compliance letter from HMS, note that your Association has a number of standards that create the beautiful and serene community that each member and resident enjoys. In order to protect everyone's investment, it is important that all owners and tenants comply with the Association's Governing Documents. Your Board of Directors as well as your management company are charged with the responsibility of reminding all residents to adhere to the standards.

When you receive an initial letter citing an issue, please note that it is simply a "friendly reminder". In most cases, the owners or residents simply correct the situation fairly quickly. If you have concerns about how to resolve the issue or about the time, then please Contact HMS as soon as possible. Neither your Board of Directors nor your management company wants to see compliance letters escalate. We are happy to assist you in any way we can.  Our goal is to maintain and enhance the value of your property and quality of life!

Community Standards

The best way to know the community standards is to review your Governing Documents and Guidelines as well as any Rules and Regulations.

Issues on Another Property

If you notice an issue with a neighbor’s property, then feel free to Contact HMS and let us know. HMS will review the issue during our next community inspection and/or share your concern with the Board of Directors.

Due to privacy laws, your management company and your Board of Directors cannot disclose details about another homeowner’s relationship with the Association. Serious compliance issues do escalate and can even become legal issues. So, HMS does not share details about any homeowner’s compliance issues with any other homeowner, apart from the volunteers on the Board. Please be conscious of this limitation while your community leaders and management company work diligently to uphold the neighborhood standards within the parameters of your Governing Documents.
